Exploring Life Science

A science laboratory where students transform "Why?" into "I understand!" through hands-on experiments with clear specimens

Welcome to the World of Clear Specimens

A new approach to science experiments: observing biological structures as art

What are Clear Specimens?

Clear specimens are created through special chemical treatments that make soft tissues transparent while beautifully staining the skeletal structure. They possess the beauty of glass sculptures while allowing three-dimensional observation of complex biological structures.

At BIO-FUN, we nurture children's observation skills, critical thinking, and expressive abilities through experiments with these clear specimens. Rather than simply observing, we explore together why structures evolved the way they did and how they've changed through the process of evolution.

Laboratory Process

From observation to analysis in a 2-hour session

1

Introduction (20 min)

Learn about today's experiment objectives and the specimens to observe. Review microscope usage.

2

Observation & Experiment (60 min)

Observe clear specimens, create sketches and digital records. Instructors provide individual support.

3

Summary & Analysis (30 min)

Share observations and discuss why structures evolved as they did. New questions are valued.

4

Reflection (10 min)

Record today's discoveries in notebooks and confirm next session's topics. Parent reports provided.
